Tonsils and Adenoids Removed

On the way....we had to be there at 7 a.m.

the child life specialist left him a little bunny....he loves this bunny now!

right before they took him away for surgery....

still looking a little groggy after surgery, but the second I got to hold him he said, "Mom, my throat hurts" and then a few minutes later "I want something to drink". The nurse was a little hesitant to give him something so soon, but since he was asking she went ahead and cheated. As soon as he took a drink he said, "ok, I am ready to go home now"! He remembered that they said he couldn't go home until he drank 5 ounces!

Resting at home with his new bunny and the blanket I made him the night before. He was very excited about his new blanket too! He had a great recovery with just a few days of not feeling well. The hardest part was keeping him occupied with quiet activities so he wasn't running and jumping all over the place.

Gavin thought Mickey's bedroom was so cool. He wanted to know why we didn't see a bedroom at Minnie's. I didn't have a good answer for him, so he said well maybe Minnie sleeps over at Mickey's house. Hmm. Ok, 3 year old.

Train Ride

Is there anything better than a train ride, really? We went to Coconut Pointe Mall and Gavin rode the train around the parking lot. He was a big fan! Side note on the shirt he is wearing.....he told us it was his favorite shirt because it had his name on it, so we called him Ron Jon the rest of the day!

The Fish

Gavin loved the pool and was able to motor around on his own this year. We went swimming almost everyday.
