Great Grampy's Funeral

Here are a few pictures from Grandpa's funeral. Gavin was very very well behaved and we were so thankful for that. The top picture is Gavin with his Great Granny. The bottom picture is Gavin playing with Eric (19 months) through the glass between the Narthex and Sanctuary. They were so cute playing together.

Fighting for the window seat

Every day that I am home with Gavin and Abbey we go to the window about 3:10 to watch the school bus drop off the neighborhood kids. You can see in the second picture who won! Gavin finally gave up and went to the other window.

Skipping School

When our power was out we went to my parents house early in the morning. Gavin was supposed to go to daycare that day, but instead he "talked" grandma and grandpa into letting him stay with them for the day. This picture was of him getting into cabinets.

Like Father, Like Son

I think Jason spends way too much time on the computer. Gavin even knew how to use the mouse! He was typing with both hands at one point. No hunting and pecking for him! We ended up getting our old laptop out to let him play with because he threw such a fit when Jason tried to put him down. He of course had to have a mouse before he would even consider playing with it.

Super Bowl

Gavin had a great time watching the super bowl this year. Although he didn't really watch much of the game, there were lots of kids at the party so he had fun playing. It was not so much fun when we got home and didn't have electricity though. We missed the end of the game and poor Gavin woke up at 1 a.m. cold and had to sleep with us for the next 4 hours (until he was up for the day). We are now shopping for a generator so we don't have to go through that fiasco again.

4 wheelin

Gavin got this 4 wheeler for his birthday and he has just learned how to push the button and drive it all by himself. He rides around the house all the time now. Sometimes we have to hide it just to get a break. (we still have to assist in steering)

Snow Baby

Gavin and I bundled up and went out to play in the snow a couple of Fridays ago. Despite his look of disgust above, after he found out that we could make balls out of snow and throw them we were outside for quite a long time and the only way I convinced him it was too cold to play outside any longer was to tell him Abbey was cold and we had to take her inside and give her a treat. : )
